 Dr. Emerson Smith, the President of Metromark, is a sociologist, trained in social psychology, statistics, survey research methods, medical sociology and demographics. He has been accepted as an expert witness in federal and state courts. Dr. Smith earned his Ph.D. from Emory University, with an M.A. from Texas Christian University, and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a Clinical Research Associate Professor of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, in the School of Medicine at the University of South Carolina.
